What’s my favorite color? I don’t know if I can answer this question. I love every color. Ok, that’s not exactly true. There is one color I hate: It is a house that I drive by once in a while, and the color is a cross between peach and brown. It makes me sad to look at it. It is such a bad color that I have to wonder if the person who chose it is colorblind. (Disclosure: Colorblindness runs in my family and I passed the gene to my two sons.)
As a crafter and artist (When can one comfortably call oneself an artist? A post for another day…), I think about color daily. I analyze color. I can’t just look at a color – I have to pick it apart and dissect it and categorize it. Is this a warm brown or a cool brown? Oh, look: It’s green in this light and grey in that light.
Anyway, I have been trying to decorate some areas in my house for the last year or so, and I’m having a heck of a time picking a main color for my living room. But I discovered something and I thought I would share it here. I’ve been taking screenshots and saving photos for a while now, and saving those photos to a separate gallery on my phone. And in doing that, I think I found my living room color. Can you see a theme here? It seems the choice is obvious.
